State Level Conference On
Recent Advances in Structural Engineering
(RASE-2008)
15th & 16th Feb. 2008
Introduction
The Department of Applied Mechanics, Maharashtra Institute of Technology (M.I.T) Pune, is organizing a State Level Conference on 15th & 16th Feb 2008. The theme of the conference is “Recent Advances in Structural Engineering (RASE – 2008)”. The main objective of this conference is to provide a common platform for academicians, engineers, scientists, research scholars and industrialists from Structural Engineering fields to exchange their views and information about the recent advances in Structural Engineering. Laminated composite plates, smart materials and structures have many applications in civil engineering fields. Fiber reinforced and fiber pre-stressed concrete and high performance concrete are relatively of recent origin and are finding more applications in various concrete structures. Seismic analysis and earthquake resistant design of steel, composite, reinforced, pre-stressed concrete and masonry structures are appropriate and essential these days. This conference will provide an opportunity for delegates to exchange their views, experiences and gain knowledge about recent developments in the field of Structural Engineering.
