ALUMNI
Civil Engineering Department was the first one to establish Alumni Association in MIT. The annual general body meeting of the Association takes place on every third Saturday of January. Alumni Association is helpful in having a better interaction with the industry for the benefit of the students.
Various Alumni are helping the department/students in the following ways:
- Delivering lectures on subjects of topical interest in Civil Engineering and Management
- Sponsoring Projects
- Providing placements to students of MIT in their own firms
- Guiding students and helping students interested in doingM. S. abroad
The Department of Civil Engineering has successfully trained 21 batches of BE students. Some of the students have been selected for postgraduate studies with Scholarships in India as well as abroad. They are doing exceedingly well. With its fully equipped laboratories and qualified staff, the department is capable of meeting all the challenges, including starting of additional postgraduate courses.
