DEPT. OF COMPUTER ENGINEERING

The Computer Engineering Department has been Accrediated by NBA (National Board of Accreditation). The Department has fully equipped laboratories and well qualified and experienced staff. The Department regularly arranges seminars, workshops from Industry Experts for students as well as staff and also organizes industry visits for students. The Department offers add-on courses to cope up with the latest trends in technology. The track record of result is excellent.

Programmes & Admissions
B.E. (Computer Engineering)
BE Computer Engineering is four year course of eight semesters and is affiliated to University of Pune. The project work and seminar presentations by the final year students are based on latest aspects of Computer Engineering.

Infrastructure
Laboratories and Softwares
The Department is equipped with the “State-of-Art” infrastructure and softwares. All PCs in each and every laboratory of the Department are networked. The Internet facility with 2 Mbps Leased line is made available to the students and staff.

1. Programming lab- is equipped with 40 PCs used for programming in C & C++.
2. Operating Systems lab- is equipped with 40 PCs used for doing assignments in operating systems under Linux platform
3. System Design & Developments lab- is equipped with 40 PCs used for advanced assignments in system design. Design tools such as Rational Rose & development tools such as Visual Studio, Visual .Net & SQL server and Oracle database are used in this lab.
4. Computer Network & Security – is equipped with 40 PCs & computer networks and security demonstration kits. Lab is used for performing the assignments of computer networks and network & information security concepts.
5. Project lab- is equipped with 40 PCs dedicated for BE projects which can support different platforms with WiFi connectivity.
6. Microprocessor lab- is equipped with 20 PCs, microprocessor & microcontroller kits used for hardware oriented practicals.
7. Embedded Systems Lab – is equipped with 20 PCs and the Oasis ARM 7 based Microcontroller kits along with the Triton IDE are used for carrying out the assignments of embedded systems.

Departmental Library
Department of Computer Engineering has a separate Departmental Library consisting of more than 600 titles. It has good collection of Academic and general information books and subscriptions for journals on the topics related to the study of the Computer Engineering.

Internet Center
The department also has a separate Internet center of 40 computers, where students work on their projects and can also avail the Internet facility.
