CAREER & PLACEMENTS
The importance of Information Technology is well established now. It is an area that has caused tremendous brain-drain for India and is now the most challenging and dynamic field. India is emerging as a superpower in the field of Information Technology and soon will over-compete the giant i.e. the US. The demand for Indian experts in the Information technology is ever increasing, not only in the US but also in many of the European and far east countries like Germany and Japan respectively. Even in India software giants like Satyam Info, Infosys and Microsoft have established themselves. Pune boasts of having quite a few of them listed above in its industrial arena.
The institute has very well understood its importance and has designed a degree programme in Information Technology with the help and guidance of established professionals and industries. The Information Technology focuses on wide spectrum of Computer and Communication applications.
Placements
The Department helps the students to get their projects sponsored by reputed and recognized organizations. This aids the students in getting proper guidance, experience and confidence. The demand for Computer Engineers is well known and reputed companies like TCS, PSPL, IBM, MBT, Infosys, Wipro, Selectica, KPIT Cummins, Cognizant etc. are coming to the Campus due to high quality of education imparted in institute.
In the year 2006-07, 51 companies visited the institute for Campus recruitments and 32 students were selected.

Industry Institute Interaction
MIT has signed MOUs with leading Industries such as Infosys, TCS, Microsoft, Zensar, Accenture, Cognizant, ThoughtWorks Technologies, and National Entrepreneurship Network etc. to promote Industry Institute Interaction. The department organizes Guest Lectures, Students Training, Faculty Training, Industrial Visits, Sabbaticals for Faculty and Project Sponsorships with the help of leading Industries in and around Pune
