The faculty is engaged in research projects sponsored by various funding agencies like DST and AICTE.

Events
Every year students visit several industries in and around Pune. Students undergo compulsory industrial training in the 3rd year. The department arranges number of guest lectures from eminent personalities in the industry and academia. There is a Polymer Student Association functioning in the department. This body organizes an Industry Institute Interaction programme “Confluence” on yearly basis. The students also organize national paper presentation competition “Affinity”. The papers are presented by students from all over the country.
