E-CAMPUS
With due respect and importance to the IT Revolution and being a technological institution, MAEER's MIT has taken all the steps to equip its students with all the advantages this revolution has to offer. With its help we have transformed MAEER's MIT Pune campus into a truly e-campus, which now ranks amongst the very few educational institutions in our country to have a similar status.
This centre is perhaps the first of its kind established at an Educational Institution in Pune. The e-campus comprises of a state-of-art Internet Centre, which remains open for 24 hours and has been connected with 4MBPS and is being facilitated and connected with high speed and uninterrupted connectivity. Pentium IV Computers are operated as workstations and a state of the art server from top line brands are installed. Besides, the work of this centre is under the control of permanent qualified full-time staff and has been also provided with a small conference room, server room with printing facility.

Library
A library endowed with the latest books and periodicals forms the backbone of any educational institute.
The library at MIT is replete with the latest technical books and journals, reference volumes, required for learning and teaching all disciplines.
The MIT Library has shifted to the new 'Shri Saint Dnyaneshwar World Peace Library' building in December 1996.
With a view to encourage free flow of knowledge, the MIT library has a close interaction with all the major libraries in Pune. This enables MIT students to refer to books in other libraries in the city.

 World Peace Centre Library
A good collection of books on Philosophy, Humanities, Human Rights, Management, Religion, Vedic Studies, Peace & Harmony, Education, Saint Literature, Swami Vivekanand, Sri Aurobindo, Dnyaneshwari, Srimad Bhagavad Geeta, Yoga - is separately maintained for the World Peace Centre Library.
 Book-Bank
Besides, as per government regulations, a Book-bank is available in the MIT library for backward class students.
 Total Stock
A total number of books exceeds 1,00000 including more than 20,000 technical books.
 Expanse
There are four separate halls, one each for Reference Section, Circulation Section, Reading Hall, Journals and Traditional Science Section.
 Computerization
MIT library is computerized using SLIM++ Software and uses independently one server (Reference Section) with two terminals. An internet connectivity also is operated for addition of new books selected from various web-sites; in addition to routine selection and procurement process.
In-house software based on ORACLE for library management system has been developed and is under testing.
Plans are underway to join the 'PUNE NET', a network of libraries in Pune.
 Technical Journals
MIT library regularly subscribes to 168 titles of which 78 are international titles (including IEEE). Also eight more journals are received gratis, which include three foreign titles.
 Audio-Visual Collections
A separate stock of over 1200 CDs is maintained separately.
 Magazines and Newspapers
10 news papers and 12
magazines are regularly subscribed and are made available in Reading Hall for students and staff.
Hostel Accomodation
Students' accommodation in Pune is easier to find, cheaper to rent and more conveniently suited than in almost any other cities in the region. MIT owned two hostels are available, one each for male and female students. The Boys' Hostel is located in salubrious surroundings. It is a four-storied building having 20 rooms on each floor, providing accommodation for 240 students. A separate accommodation for ladies is also available in the 'Indrayani' building with a capacity of accommodating 80 girls. Both these hostels are at a walking distance of about ten minutes from the MIT campus and are situated on the southern side of the main Paud Road in a decent and safe locality.
There are various facilities like canteen, public phone for students and TV rooms. Doctors visit every Monday and Tuesday for weekly check-up. MIT's own hostel accommodation is allotted to students strictly on merit basis. However international students are given preference. The hostel blocks are situated at S # 127/C, opposite More Vidyalaya, Near Mahaganesh Colony, Paud Road, Kothrud, Pune 411038.
If you prefer to live in private accommodation, you will be pleased to know that there is a large number of privately owned accommodation available to rent. Much of it is close to MIT campus. We will be able to supply you with the list of suitable addresses and help you in practical ways. If you are able to come to Pune a little before you begin your studies, we can provide you with a temporary accommodation in MIT Guest house, while you look for something permanent. We can then advise on types of lease, tenancy and contractual agreements into which you will have to enter.
Students interested in admission to the hostel will have to apply to the MIT office immediately after confirming admission.

Building and Facilities
All Institutions under MAEER in Engineering, Management, Medicine, Pharmacy and Polytechnic are located at Pune, which is the 'Education Hub' of India. Other institutions including one Medical College and hospital are located at Latur approx. 250 kms from Pune. All our institutions are well equipped with infrastructure as well as instructors. The campus at Pune is a truly e-campus with a total of 400 computers connected with fiber-optic backbone networks and server-client technology. 1 mbps leased line through ERNET facilitates high-speed Internet Access throughout the campus. Strong industry-institute linkage is the hallmark of our all education programs and therefore we have an excellent track record of placements of our students in well known Indian and multi-national Companies.
Approximately, 2000 strong Alumni of our institutions mostly in US, Europe, Middle-East and South-East Asian countries remain in touch through our website. A separate library building for various institutions at Pune campus houses five different libraries in their respective disciplines comprise of more than 100,000 books, national and international magazines, journals. A modern audio-video with multi-media facilities along with high-speed Internet access is available for speedy literature survey via Internet/CD's. Enough hostel accommodation is available on all the campuses for both boys and girls. Most of our Institutions are situated in the close proximity of the respective cities and therefore easy access through public transport is available.
Our tradition of striving for excellence in the field of professional education has resulted in the creation of a world-class center of school education, 'Vishwashanti Gurukul' based on the Guru-shishya parampara, authorised by the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO), Geneva to offer the IB Diploma and registered as a Cambridge International Centre by the University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE). The emphasis of MIT's VGWS will be to make the students proud of their deep rooted ethos, the ancient Indian culture and train them in the most modern methodologies.

Sports & Recreation
We take every effort to encourage our students to participate in various social, cultural and sports activities. The college has its own cricket, football and volleyball grounds. It also has 1500 sq. ft. modern style well equipped Gymnasium. Table Tennis, Carrom and wrestling facilities are also provided. Our students have participated and won number of prizes at Inter-Collegiate, University, State and NAtional Levels. MIT has successfully organized several sports tournaments including Inter-Engineering Athletic Meet, Cricket, Basketball, Volleyball, Table Tennis tournaments, Zonal level Boxing, Badminton, Chess tournaments and Inter-Professional College Volley ball, Basketball tounaments, etc.
All the sports facilities are well looked after by proficient sports in-charge Shri P G Dhanave, B.Sc. B.P. Ed. M.Ed. (Physical) and is guided by keen sports person Dr. M Y Gokhale who is Vice President of Gymkhana.

Meditation Centre
In todays highly competitive world, only those who gain total control over their minds, will rise above the ordinary to lead happy and successful lives.
At MIT, 'Excelling means not just in studies but if life too. With the responsibility to create better citizens, MIT has built the 'Meditation Temple' which is set in the most appropriate and natural surrounding amidst, green trees. 365 steps lead you to 'Meditation Temple' which is at the top of a hill behind the World Peace Centre.

Canteen
A well-equipped canteen is located in the MAEER's MIT campus in a spacious surrounding. A complete and planned food is served in a neat clean and hygienic surrounding. APrt from north and south Indian nutritious break-fast, lunch and dinner, the canteen also serves tasty Chinese food, tea, coffee and soft drinks along with snacks are also available. All the items are reasonably priced. Monthly Mess facility is also available for the students as well as staff members.

Bank Facility
Financial transactions either with the institute or personal is an inevitable part of student life. To provide banking convenience to students, 'The Sangli Bank Ltd.' is available in the college premises itself with all the necessary facilitites, which will further facilitate the students to carry out the important banking interactions like cash withdrawal or cheque deposits. Apart from deposits & loans the bank provides 'Western Union Money Transfer' service - a fastest way to receive money from abroad.

NCC
"National Cadet Corps" is considered to be the second line of defence for the country. Youthful, energeti, sincere & patriotic boys & girls come together and work as NCC cadets, with the motto, "Unity & Discipline". NCC helps a great deal in shaping up the overall personality of these young men & women, who would be the responsible citizens of tomorrow & in whom lies the future of the country.
On MIT campus, the activity of NCC, was started in the year of 1995, with a minimal number of cadets.
