Program Objective

The educational objectives of our undergraduate program are to produce graduates:

  1. To understand the basic principles of science and engineering science that underlie modern chemical and biological technology.

  2. Be able to apply creatively their understanding of science and engineering principles to the solution of problems arising in whatever career path they choose.

  3. Be sensitive to the environmental, social, safety and economic context in which their work is done, and possess a strong commitment to ethical practice within that context; and also contribute socially.

  4. To communicate their ideas and positions clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.

  5. To be aware of the requirement and possess the ability to engage in lifelong learning which will be necessary for continuing high performance in whatever career path they choose. This necessitates the research activities of the students.
The department aims to prepare Chemical Engineering students for 21 st century chemical industry and to face business challenges and making them aware of modern learning methods like e-learning in engineering education.
