Bioenergy Conversion-2006

The Department of Chemical Engineering organized one day seminar on “Bio-energy Conversion” on 24 th March, 2006 sponsored by AICTE, New Delhi. The main objective of this program was to share recent advances in the field of Bio-energy Conversion. The event was inaugurated by the Chief guest- Dr. Sudhirkumar who is General Manager of Maharashtra Energy Development Agency, Pune. It was followed by keynote address by Prof. (Dr.) A. B. Pandit of Institute of Chemical Technology, University of Mumbai, Matunga, Mumbai. Many research workers and eminent professionals delivered guest lectures on the day. Prof. P.M. Deshpande was the convener of the event.

 

Training Program

The department has conducted a Chemical Engineering Modeling & Simulation training for design engineers from M/s Axiom Engineers (I) Ltd; Mumbai, on April 30 & May 01, 2006 . The industry persons were given in the rigorous training on simulation in steady- and dynamic state simulation using process simulators, solving live engineering situations. Prof Ratnadip R Joshi conducted the workshop.
