Course Name: Diploma in Civil Engineering

Department of civil engineering is established in 2004-2005. The first batch of fifteen students has completed the course this year.

MAEER’S SRI SAVITRIBAI PHULE POLYTECHNIC offers a full time diploma course of three years after S.S.C.The course is approved by Maharashtra state board of technical education. The total intake capacity is 40.

i) Laboratories:
The department enjoys the privilege of having following highly equipped laboratories.
Surveying lab.
- Concrete technology and soil mechanics lab.
- Environmental eng. Lab.
- Hydraulics lab.
- Computer lab with 24 hrs. internet facility.
ii) Library:
Library facility is available for the students and staff members on all working days and holidays also, during the exams. All the relevant books, journal (national, international),cds, DVDs are available for the reference of the students.
The library also provides reading hall facility.

| Departmental achievements (Civil Engineering.) |
1) All the last year students are well placed through campus interviews even before the declaration of final results.
2) The last year students have participated in several state level paper presentation competitions and have done extremely well.
3) Last year students participated in ‘Tecnica-2008’ paper presentation competition and have secured second rank.
4) Several eminent personalities were invited to the department to deliver guest lectures on several topics like new techniques in civil engineering,new construction materials,soft ware packages used in Civil engineering .
