MIT TEXEPHYR- 2014www.texephyr.com

The year 2014 marked the beginning of the new era, the new trend to have a united technical carnival wherein the departments of Computer, E&TC, Mechanical and IT Engineering from MAEER’s Maharashtra Institute of Technology, Pune mutually organized a National Level event called "TEXEPHYR" on the 20th, 21st and 22nd of February 2014,.
TEXEPHYR is the tech-Fest, where an entire generation of the brightest students galvanized to meet and tackle the ablaze in the fields of engineering. The entire student community under the guidance of the professors and support of their departments, irrespective of their branches, seniority and experiences unite together, and their enthusiasm was palpable at each and every step. A testimony to this is the fact that, within a short span of time, we came up with a record 40 events in the TEXEPHYR.

The TEXEPHYR was inaugurated on the 21st morning by our beloved Principal Prof. L. K. Kshirsagar sir. TEXEPHYR was sponsored by various renowned companies like BANK OF MAHARASHTRA, VENKYs NUTRITION, MOBISOFT, SCHREIBER DYNAMICS, PERSISTENT, ASUS, SCOREPLUS, RELISCORE, BARBEQUENATION, etc.
Events were categorized into various domains like ROBOTICS, CODING-EVENTS, BE-PROJECT, PAPER PRESENTATION and non-technical events like treasure-hunt, snap-hunt, legends of hidden networks, etc.  Each event was reviewed and judged by a panel of prestigious judges who are the masters in their respective domains from the reputed companies.
Students from various colleges and fields came under one roof to showcase their talents with a true spirit. Through TEXEPHYR we aim to create a platform to take forward this spirit and to reinforce our commitment towards sustainable development. TEXEPHYR created a platform where every participant got a chance to embrace the best of knowledge, to paint their expressions on the freewheeling canvas of events, to envision the 'India' of your dreams and a platform where innovation has no alternative. TEXEPHYR helped to bridge the gap between the college and industry. The atmosphere was filled with joy, fun and great enthusiasm with nontechnical events like box-soccer, box-hockey etc. taking place on the ground. The crowd was over-whelmed to have a presence of one of the famous RJs from Radio City 91.1. Many delicacies, food and goodies stalls were put up on the college ground.
Last but not the least the valedictory ceremony was conducted at the end of the 22nd evening in the presence of our beloved, respected Dean Prof. Sharadchandra Darade-Patil, Prof. P.B. Joshi, our principal Dr. L.K. Kshirsagar and all the Head of Departments. The credits for the success of the TEXEPHYR go to all the students, faculty, managing committee, participants, HODs and sponsors. Thus TEXEPHYR was the grand success which will be spoken about till the next year when again it will return with a big bang.
